About the event
ASN Play sessions are fully funded by Awards for All and are free play sessions, which means the session is not a structured one. We provide equipment in the form of stations to engage with the attendees, allowing them to explore the area and use what is available as they please.
When you book onto a session you will be able to arrive at and leave the session anytime between the advertised starting and finishing times.
When bringing along your young person with additional support needs we are happy for siblings and friends to attend who do not have ASN, this requires a seperate ticket so we can keep track of numbers. ASN schools, units and other groups supporting children with ASN are also welcome to book places at our sessions.
To ensure we have the most suitable equipment available, there is an “about me” section which we require you to complete when booking your session. This information allows us to provide the best possible equipment and environment to meet the individual needs of the attendees.
If you have previously completed the about me form, you do not need to complete another unless there is an update you wish us to know about.
The session is run in a fully enclosed wooded area within the Battle of Bannockburn Site in Stirling. Parking and toilets are available at the Visitor Centre with a paved path leading almost completely to the site before crossing a short grassy area.
Sessions are fully outdoor based; please ensure all attendees are dressed for the weather. We would recommend long trousers as protection against ticks, insects and grazes and scratches etc however we understand that this is not comfortable for all people. Please remember to check yourselves for ticks after playing in grassy and woodland areas.
If you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible to allow others the chance to attend.
These sessions will be run by Judith. If you have any questions or would like to discuss how we can support you, please do not hesitate to contact Judith at judith@underthetrees.co.uk
