About the event

In today's digital age, when screens are ever-present and children are increasingly inactive, why not come along and remind yourselves of the benefits of outdoor play and get some fresh ideas on how getting outdoors could have a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing for you and your family / or the groups that you work with.

The session is a fully outdoors, hands-on session that will give you practical ideas to experience with your children.

We will incorporate an element of sensory play - engaging those senses with the natural world and beng mindful and present in the moment. For those with ASN, sensory experiences may be something that children specifically seek out, however all children will benefit from opportunities to explore their senses through play!

If you and your child/children would like to try out some outdoor play ideas and activities that will help to positivtely impact on your mental health and wellbeing then this workshop is for you. It is aimed at parents/carers but nursery practitioners, school staff and childminders are welcome to attend to.

The cost of the workshop is just £10 per adult. Children are welcome to attend for FREE but a ticket must be booked for them.

It will be delivered by Judith, an experienced Primary Teacher with lots of recent outdoors experience too.

Our training events are held outdoors, so please ensure you are suitably dressed for the weather.

Parking, toilets and a cafe are available at the Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre. Further information on where to find us on the day will be emailed to you before the event.
