About the event
What better environment is there in which to explore and learn than being outdoors. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects can all be developed through simple provision of learning opportunities in an outdoor environment.
If you would like some fresh ideas for developing STEM skills in the outdoors then this workshop is for you. It is aimed at parents/carers who would like to know more about how outdoor play can support their child's development in STEM subjects but nursery practitioners, school staff and childminders are most welcome too.
STEM is such a vast subject however we hope to cover play activities that support a range of curriculum areas as well as crucial skills such as curiosity, problem solving, creativity and innovation.
The cost of the training is just £10 per adult. Children are welcome to attend for FREE and get involved in the activities that we'll have set up.
