Under 5's Stay and Play at Larbert Woods

Come along and join us for some outdoor free play fun! Sessions are aimed at preschool children - nursery groups and childminders are welcome too! Sessions are 1.5 hours long - please come and go as you need to.

Sessions are free play-based. We provide the equipment, the ideas, and our help (if wanted) and the rest is up to you. Parents/carers are politely asked to supervise their children at all times.

This session is an entirely outdoor event. Please remember to dress accordingly for the weather with waterproof clothing / suncream etc as required. Please note that it can be cool under the shade of the trees so you may wish for an extra layer. We will go ahead as much as possible including in wet / cold weather however if we deem it too dangerous for a session to go ahead, we will contact you on the day so please keep an eye on your emails / text messages.

We recommend long sleeves / trousers as this reduces the risk of bites/scrapes/stings etc. Please remember to check yourselves for ticks after being outdoors. More information about Lyme Disease is available here for your reference: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/lyme-disease/

Parking is limited on this site and within our agreement, at no time should attendees park or drop off within the Larbert House residents car park, park on the grass or block the Forestry and Land Scotland access road.

Parking is available along McAllister Avenue FK54XW, there is also a very small car park available at https://goo.gl/maps/y38XBgFeDa5pYBVi8

Please note that we are using a different site to our recent Woodland Tots sessions opposite Larbert House. Look out for the signs directing you to the site from the carpark on McAllister Avenue. Follow the access road towards the hospital. Near the beginning of the road, on your left, there is a woodland path. Turn into this path and almost immediately turn right to follow the path up the hill. Continue past a path joining the main path from the right and at the top of the hill you will see a bench. The site is on your left in the woods when you reach the bench. The what3words location is approximately ///urgent.geese.mushroom

There are no toilets at Larbert woods, the nearest public accessible toilet is at Forth Valley Hospital A&E department.

This session is FREE to attend thanks to funding from Thrive. A lot of work goes into making these sessions happen and therefore we will be putting a 3-strike no-show policy in place again for 2024. This means if you do not show and do not let us know on 3 occasions we will remove you from future bookings!

NB. Tickets are only required for children, please do not book adult tickets! Please do let us know if any adults attending have any medical or additional support needs that we need to be aware of!

We may sometimes use resources for sensory and play activities that may contain allergens. Therefore please can you let me know if there are any allergies before the session by emailing Carolyn@underthetrees.co.uk.

Please do not bring your dog to a session without checking with us first.
